A lot of the companies claim they have a monopoly on the best wood available. The fact is, year to year some harvests are better in different areas. We buy from a variety of suppliers, then turn and test the product before we move to production turning. This insures you are buying the highest quality lumber for your bat. Large scale production is not important to JCW Baseball™. Every bat you buy from JCW Baseball™ has been hand-turned by J.C. Wristen CEO of JCW Industries™ and JCW Baseball™ to precise specifications. Our lathes have been custom designed to eliminate—not minimize—vibration in the turning process. It takes more time, but this allows the fibers of the wood to remain consistent and unencumbered unlike other companies and their automated CNC processes, which extends the life of your bat. All of our bats are bone rubbed to close and harden the wood pores, a trademark of the Pros. They are then hand finished with the best products available. There are many good bat companies out there.
